Our Vision

God has drawn our hearts at different times to non-profit organizations that meet the needs of people in their communities and now God has placed in our hearts a dream to start Finding Rest Ministries,  which would include opening our own center to be known as Healing Waters Restoration Center.  The three R’s that God has given us are Redeeming the lost, Restoring the broken, and Refreshing the weary.  God gave us the word oasis and said this will be an oasis for their souls. Our goal is to provide for every part of a person, physically, mentally and spiritually.  We want anyone who walks through the doors to feel the love of God immediately. We want the atmosphere to be a place of rest and peace in a chaotic world.   This is a place where they can come to escape their cares and be loved and pampered.

Our vision starts now. As we are living our lives each day we are asking God to provide ways for us to meet the needs of people we meet in the grocery stores or along the roadsides. To be able to buy a coat for someone or pay for a families groceries. To provide diapers or formula for babies. To do whatever is in front of us right now.

As Finding Rest Ministries grows and God provides funds we would then open the center and provide for physical needs with things such as a food pantry, diaper bank, clothes and shoes for babies and small children.  We want to be able to have the funds to provide for any need that is put in front of us. As God provides and we are able our dream would be to have a medical doctor on staff to provide care for families who are not able to go to a clinic.

Our vision also includes providing for the mental health of individuals by having a counseling center with licensed counselors on staff. A mental health crisis hotline that individuals can call to talk to someone in a moment of need.  We would like to provide classes to help individuals learn tools to maintain their mental health.

Our vision includes filling the spiritual needs of individuals by offering prayer as needed. The spiritual aspects would encompass all areas of the ministry. As we give out food, or other services we would always want to give attention to the spiritual side. We also want to have Bible classes and services throughout the week to minister to whatever needs may be represented. These services would include laying on of hands for healing. We would hold conferences for women and men. We would have seminars for things such as overcoming anxiety and finding healing from addictions. There would also be areas for parents to take their children during these times of ministry.

Not only do we want to meet the needs of individuals but we want to give them tools to carry throughout every area of their lives and teach them to go out and help others.

Our vision is to start with one center and see it be multiplied to many centers being planted globally. We know that this vision is greater than us and we believe that God will send the right people and the funds at the right times. We believe this is God’s call to us and we have said yes. All He needs from us is to be surrendered completely. We understand this is not and never will be about us, but always about Him receiving the glory and the honor.

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Matthew 11:28-29 NLT
